DESIGNER/PROJECT MANAGER
We are looking for a multi-faceted individual to fill a dynamic role in our company. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skillset which may include:
-
Drafting skills (AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Revit)
-
Practical fieldwork competencies: measuring buildings/structures, ladder use, small tool use, surveying (laser level and rod)
-
Knowledge of architectural design particularly Part 9 buildings
-
Knowledge of the Ontario Building code
-
Knowledge of structural design
-
Ability to work with minimal supervision
-
Assertive, self-motivated and show initiative
-
Technical report writing
-
Knowledge of the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual and bridge inspections
-
Competence in MS Office Programs: Word, Excel, etc.
Technologists, Engineers-in-Training, Engineers or any other qualification with broad skillset may be considered.

Hybrid working platform. Normal business hours with flex-hour options and/or 4-day work-week stagger with colleagues.

Responsibilities include:

Completing site investigations to gather field data for projects including measurements, observations, limited destructive investigation

Completing site inspections during construction
-
Completing bridge inspections
-
Preparing technical reports and site inspection reports
-
Architectural and structural drafting and design
-
Assisting in corporate administration activities
-
Main point of client contact, overall project management
Class “G” driver’s license and vehicle required.

Diploma, certificate or degree in engineering or architecture discipline or equivalent experience considered an asset.
Salary commensurate with experience and subject to review. 3 month probation required.
